Cherry Hill, NJ – - Steve Ravitz, Chairman of The Ravitz Family Foundation and President of Shoprite Supermarkets of Cherry Hill, announced the Second Annual ShopRite Celebrity Holiday Coat Drive netted over 1,000 coats on behalf of the United Way of Camden County. The event featured 10 current and former members of the Philadelphia Eagles, including Quintin Mikell, Chris Gocong, Brent Celek and Jeremiah Trotter. Over 600 fans turned out to the ShopRite of Marlton, all while braving the traffic and weather in order to make sure the less fortunate of Camden County would be a bit warmer this winter season.
“I’m proud of the work The Ravitz Family Foundation and Shoprite Supermarkets of Cherry Hill are able to do in the community,” Ravitz said. “We take our role as community partners very serious, and this is one of the many ways we can give back to our neighbors.”
The event attracted a number of media outlets including 6-ABC, CBS-3, NBC-10, FOX-29, and Comcast SportsNet . The star-studded coat drive was also attended by current Eagles players Sheldon Brown, Sav Rocca, and Omar Gaither. Eagles alumni who came out to support the event included Vince “Invinceable” Papale, Sean Landeta and Gary Cobb.
